Delhi Vidhan Sabha goes green tapping solar power. A 100kw solar power plant has been installed at the Vidhan Sabha complex in north Delhi’s Civil Lines .
According to TOI , the solar power plant has been installed at a cost of Rs 7.35 lakh and will take care of 25% of the Delhi Legislative Assembly building’s peak power demand. The Delhi Vidhan Sabha’s solar power plan is expected to save Rs10 lakh annually on account of the power bill.
State power minister Satyendar Jain inaugurated the solar power plant. The assembly building will have another solar plant of the same capacity soon said Ram Niwas Goel during the inauguration.
