India is growing aggressively and has moved up to the fourth position in the international renewable energy market. Despite all the achievements in the renewable energy sector over time, India at present is still generating more than 70% of its required energy from fossil fuels.
At such a crucial juncture, Rays Power Infra has successfully closed a progressive and futuristic partnership for generating and supplying power under various long-term power purchase agreements within India and Southeast Asia.
The company in a statement said, Rays Power is committed to generating over 500 MW of solar energy within the next nine months to offset the power requirements of 50% for corporate customers and 50% for utility projects.
Out of this 500 MW, 220MW would be developed in India, and the remaining 280 MW will add to the brand’s international portfolio.
Speaking on this occasion, Managing Director of Rays Power Infra, Ketan Mehta, said, “The world is changing, and it’s changing fast. In this context, we at Rays Power Infra are strenuously working towards strengthening our Solar development capabilities. We hope to continue living up to our company’s vision, “Rise with Rays.” Considering the disadvantages of leveraging energy generated with fossil fuels from a safe and sustainable future perspective is no longer viable. Therefore, we must rely on renewable and natural energy generating sources to ensure that our future is secure, safe, and imperishable. This is a huge step forward for us and the solar energy industry, and we aspire to continue down this path and reach new green heights.“
Adding further, CEO of Rays Power Infra – Rahul Mishra, said, “Rays Power Infra has already entered the international energy market, but we strive to delve deeper into this industry. With this recent partnership with leading industry players, we are sparing no effort to reduce power costs and carbon emissions significantly. In fact, our on-ground construction activities for generating the promised 500MW are in full swing to achieve set targets.”
Creating significant benchmarks, leveraging new-age technologies in the renewable energy sector, Rays Power Infra has established over 1GW projects in several states, including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
